Darci is 2 months old today! She has the cutest smile, and makes the cutest little noises, like she is trying to talk. I have been trying to get it on camera, but I haven't been very successful. She just stares at the camera. Sometimes when she is sleeping, she'll get this huge smile on her face, and I swear she laughs. Its so cute.
The other day, Grandma Larsen discovered that Darci likes the Vacuum. She was fussing and Grandma started vacuuming, and she stopped crying. When the vacuum was turned off, she started fussing again. Here is a video..

This one is hilarious. I thought her hair looked pretty funny after washing and drying with the towell, so I got my camera to get a picture and she made this face. Too funny!Merrill and I are now living in Colorado with his parents for the summer while Merrill does his internship here. So, we blessed Darci here in his parents ward. Merrill's sister Sharon got married the week before in Utah and had a reception here in Colorado the day before the blessing, so their family was all here, and my parents came from Oregon. Taking her medicine. She is so good when I give it to her. She'll actually stop crying when I put it in her mouth. I have her all wrapped up to keep her hands out of the way, and none of it seems to bother her.
The last couple nights, she has rolled over on her side when she sleeps. Its so cute.Today was the big day. Darci was able to come home! She proved to the Doctor that she was healthy and could eat well! I was there all day yesterday and through the night to feed her so we could come home this morning. We are so happy she is doing so good and can finally be home with us. No more back and forth from the hospital!! Here are some pictures from this morning bringing her home.
Here's the update on Darci. She is now 3 days old, and doing better. She is a tough little baby and she is working hard at getting better. Her infection is not a bad one, so the antibiotics that she has been taking will work great in getting her better. She has jaundice, so they've had her under the lights. So far the levels went up, so they doubled the lights and we can't go and hold her as often so that she stays under the lights as long as possible so that it gets better. Other than that, we are just working on getting her to eat well. So, once she proves to the doc that she can nurse great and the jaundice is gone, then we can take her home, hopefully by monday or tuesday.
This morning at the hospital with Grandma Larsen. She has a feeding tube in her nose, so that they can feed her everyday without messing up breast feeding.
