A mothers fear

What is a parents biggest fear? Well, one would be going into your baby's room in the morning to find them laying face down in their crib. Now, that Almost happened to me this morning. Darci went to bed really early last night, (woke up at 5:30 to eat, and back to sleep) and I didn't expect her to sleep past 8 this morning. But I woke up at 10 (yes, I slept in, it was nice) thinking, wow, I can't believe she is still asleep. Then the thought came to my mind, Holy crap, I hope she is just asleep. So I quickly went to her room, quietly opened her door. And saw her laying.. face down in her crib. I Quickly bent down to pick her up, and she turned her head, and made this sound like she was gasping for air. Although, I think she had been breathing just fine, it just scared me so bad. Thats what I was hoping not to see when I opened the door.

Larsen Christmas 2009

I'm finally able to post Christmas pictures! After all the craziness of Christmas and moving, and we now have internet in our new place.

Christmas was awesome. We went to Colorado to Merrill's parents, and everyone was there! There were 12 adults and 2 babies, and it was so fun. We played games, made awesome food, played with cute babies, and just enjoyed each others company. Most of us were there till the day after Christmas. We got a family picture that turned out really good, considering all the people and the small space we had to take it. When I get it scanned to my computer I will post that too.
Here are some pictures of that week:
Darci opening her stocking
Opening presents. I just love the look on her face.
She got tired a really cranky while everyone was opening presents.
She was happy to get her little piglet even though she was so tired and ready for a nap.

Quick update

We made it to Washington and got all moved in to our new place. Merrill starts work on the 11th. So we came down to Salem and surprised my family for the weekend. We don't have internet in our place yet, should running soon. I'll get some pictures up of the last few weeks once we get it going.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!

6 months!

Darci is now 6 months old! She is growing up so fast. She is 18lbs 9oz now, and 95%.

She has been able to roll over from her tummy to her back for a while now. And the other day she started rolling from her back to her tummy. So, she is moving around all over.
Here is a picture of her after rolling under the coffee table and found mommy's bag of christmas bows and ribbons;

This is a video of Daddy playing peek-a-boo with Darci in her jumperoo!

Our cute little girl... She is growing up so fast. And she gets cuter everyday! She is almost 6 months old, I can't believe it. She is getting such a cute little personalitly, I love it. She is also getting to be a little pill. She thinks that growling at Mommy will get her what she wants. I just can't look at her when she does it, cause how can you say no to this cute little face...

What we have been up to!

I don't know if I have mentioned on the blog that Merrill accepted a job offer in Seattle. He starts January 5th. We are very excited. We really wanted to move to the northwest. My family lives in Oregon, so we won't be very far from them. And Merrill has discovered how wonderful the northwest is. :)
We have a very busy couple months ahead of us. We are going to Oregon for Thanksgiving, and apartment hunting in Washington just before. Then after our trip to Denver for Christmas, we are leaving Utah!
Here is what's been up the last couple weeks:

She loves her jumper!

What a little cutie!

Darci is now starting to sit all by herself. This is her sitting in the high chair at Village Inn drinking her bottle.

Merrill with Darci and Hunter (our friends little boy)! How cute!

My pumpkin. I finally got it carved the day before Halloween. It wasn't easy, we didn't have pumpkin carving knives, so it took forever and I had to be creative to carve the small areas with a big knife. Then I forgot to put it outside until halloween night, and we were gone, and then when we got back, we saw that someone had smashed it, and not all the pieces for the pumpkin were there. And it was the only pumpkin smashed in our whole apartment complex. Weird! I wasn't very happy.

Sitting up, go Darci! With the pillow just in case she falls.

This is Darci's new thing. She does it all the time, even when I am feeding her rice cereal. She really concentrates on doing it, its cute.

I thought this we cute. She was too tired to hold her head up.

For halloween we went to a friends house for Cheese and Chocolate fondue, and we watched Scream. And for some reason the guys got out the big knife (maybe that had to do with the movie, creepy) and the apples left over from the fondue stuff. After this there were apples everywhere. The video is Merrill slicing an apple in the air. I did it too. I got a really good slice, after the first one where I only cut off a small chucnk, and the big chunck hit me in the head. But no one video taped me. :(
