Trip to Idaho

Jarret and I went with my parents to Idaho to visit my Aunt Sheri and cousin Lindsay. And so that my mom could help my aunt for the weekend. My mom's aunt and uncle live in Boise and her Grandma lives with them too. We stopped in Boise for a quick visit on our way to Lindsay's house in Mountain Home.

Here is Jarret with his Great Great Grandma

The only picture I took of everyone, minus me and Sheri
(i'm sure France will like this picture ;) haha)

Jarret, while we were blowing up the air bed.

So cute, Sammy and Jarret, they are going to be best buds! ;)

Sam had a good time crawling all over Jarret. Funny thing is, Jarret didn't seem to care.

Sleeping babies! :)

Sittin in the car like a big boy!

Dad and France hanging a shelf. Apparently they had to get a bit creative to make it work right. They did a good job!

One last picture of the boys before we left. It was easiest to get a picture if mom held them. ;)

While we were there, Jarret fell in love with this Elmo that belonged to Sammy. Elmo has magical powers that stop Jarret from fussing in his car seat by singing la la la. And then he snuggles him to fall asleep. And before we left Lindsay and Sammy made sure that Jarret took him home with us. Thanks again Sam!

4 months

Jarret is now 4 1/2 months. We just had his 4 month appointment. Here are his stats:

Weight: 15lbs 15 oz-- 65%
Height: 26in-- 75 %
Head: 17in-- 70 %

New Skills: Rolls over from back to front like a pro (he can roll from his tummy to back, but he cries when he does, and doesn't do it often). Hits his toys. Grabs his toys and brings them to his mouth. Stands up well with support and stomps his feet. Pushes himself up while on his tummy. Scoots backwards while on his tummy and turns around. Blows bubbles and spits. Laughs, and smiles at everyone! Learning to sit up on his own. Grabs his feet when laying down or sitting up.

Here are his 4 month pictures that I took. A little photo session with my new camera! ;)

He looks so different from his 2 month pictures! ;) Doesn't look like he is ONLY 2 months older now.

First Hair Cut

Jarret's hair has been growing fast, and it's been growing in blonde since he was born. I held off cutting it for a while, cause I knew that as soon as I cut it, he'd be blonde, not that there is anything wrong with being blonde, it's just that he'd look so different. But his hair was getting so long, so we decided to just do it.

All the Cuteness at the Larsen's

Here are some pictures from the past month or so, in no particular order.

Jarret's towel dried hair.

Side view

Such a big boy.

Trying so hard to roll over. ( and yes, he is pantless and sockless)

Not really sure what he is trying to do here. Maybe he thinks this will help to roll over..

I took this one with Darci's camera, I thought it was pretty funny. Jarret is like, Eww, get away from me..

New Years Eve day our friends came down from Hillsboro. They have a little girl a couple months younger than Darci and a boy a month younger than Jarret. These two sure had fun together.

Darci fell asleep watching a movie. I love that she is cuddling her bears.

Darci likes to let Jarret "hold" her piglet, or his Tigger. Apparently while he is sleeping, his head is a good place to put him.

Sledding

Last Saturday we headed up to the mountain with my brothers, sister-in-law, and our nephews to go sledding. There wasn't much snow, but the weather was good, it was sunny and not really any wind, perfect for the kids. We got Darci's snow gear on and bundled up Jarret, we got a little thick outfit for cold weather and put that on him with a hat and put him in the carry pack, he didn't like facing me, so we turned him around so he could see, he wasn't like that for long, just til we took a break for lunch, then he fell asleep so we carried him facing us. Darci had tons of fun, she did not want to leave.

All ready to go!

Isn't that just the cutest thing! That hat didn't last long, every time he turned his head the hat would adjust and cover his face, and he did NOT like that. So we took it off and just used his hood.

Love this picture!

Throwing snowballs!

Lunch break! Randy brought his camp stove and made chili and hot cocoa.

Such a great Daddy! Taking the kids around while Mommy takes a turn sledding down the hill a couple times.

It started getting colder, so while Jarret was sleeping I wrapped a blanket around him to keep him nice and warm.

Easton tried to sit down on that pipe, he slid right off. And he couldn't get up with all that snow gear on.

Her cheeks were so red at the end. It didn't show up much in this picture. She was so cute in all her gear!

On the way home with Hot cocoa in her cup. She feel asleep soon after!

Here are some videos of the day:

Merrill

Darci and Merrill

Kevin and Cory had gathered up a bunch of snowballs and attacked Merrill, I'm pretty sure none actually hit him, but they ended up in a bit of a snow fit. And the Kevin tackled Merrill. I have it all on video, except for the tackle but it wouldn't upload cause it's too long. I told Kevin to tackle him again so I could get it on video cause I turned the camera off just as he did it. So, Kevin and Cory decided to team up on the tackle. Didn't really work for them.

Christmas

This was our first Christmas that we didn't travel. So, we were able to do Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at our house. Darci set out the cookies we made with some milk and a letter to Santa. Then in the morning her stocking was full of treats and a letter from Santa. And, under the tree was a big Teddy Bear with a big red bow, from Daddy.

She loves her big bear.

Checking out all her stocking treats

After all the Christmas morning fun we went to church, then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house, and THEN it was time to open Christmas presents. Darci was super excited.

Opening her present from Santa. A fisher price digital camera! She LOVES it! :)

clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Bird.

...and a puzzle

Jarret opening his gift from Santa.

Darci took lots of pictures, which were all blurry or too close. ;)

I couldn't get blogger to upload any of the videos of Darci opening presents, but it uploaded this one..

Jarret Laughing

Finally got a good video of Jarret laughing. And it's his best laugh yet! He didn't even get the hiccups, he always gets the hiccups when he laughs.
