Darci's Birthday!

Darci turned 2 on the 9th. We had a Birthday party for her at my mom and dad's house. We roasted hotdogs at the fire pit, ate cake and ice cream, and had some fun toys for the kids to play with. It turned out really good. Everyone seemed to have fun. Darci seemed to enjoy it. She got a little nervous when we started singing Happy Birthday, and I think she was about to cry. But she was fine. Here are some pictures of the party.

Her new slide from Grandma and Grandpa.

Her Winney the Pooh cake. She was soo excited about her cake. And it was yummy!

Thank you to everyone that came. It was a fun night and Darci loved it all!

Catch up!

Its been a while since I've posted anything. To update since the last post, we are still living with my parents while looking for a house. We have been here a little over a month. So far, Merrill is really liking his new job, and he has been getting more hours.
Darci is enjoying living at Grandma and Grandpa's. She is too spoiled here, or at least that's how she acts. Apparently in her head, she can do anything she wants and get anything she wants. Its a rough battle.
Little baby boy has been very active. So far everything is going good. He are hoping that it will stay that way. We don't want things to end up like last time. I am hoping to go full term and go into labor myself. And be able to be on my feet till then. We still have a long ways to go for all of that, but it comes up fast, in 10 weeks would mark the time that I went on bed rest last time so keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't happen this time too.
Mom and Dad have been putting in a pool and a deck around it. So its been busy here. The pool is all set except the heater isn't hooked up yet, so its still pretty cold water. And the deck has a ways to go till it is finished. Its a lot of work but we are all excited for it to be done. We can't wait to start swimming when the weather stays warm and it all gets done. ;)
Here are some pictures from the last month or so, in no order:

She loves to play with these magnets. they are her favorite toy right now. And she is very creative with them. She figured out all by herself that they could stick to the railing.

Helping mommy with the laundry.

She put the hat on backwards. In the picture she is burping, which she did about a dozen times. Must be trying to fit in with the boys! ;)

Apparently she likes the shirt as pants better than her jeans.

walking around in the pool with grandpa while the water fills.

We put her swimsuit on so that she could splash around while the pool filled. Wyatt and Easton joined us later. they had lots of fun.
We have some videos, but they aren't on my computer.

So tired after lots of playing at Grandmas!

Update

I don't really have any pictures to post. I'll try and make this a short one. We got all moved, finally. we've been here about 2 weeks. We are living in salem with my family. We'll be living here a couple months or so, til we can save a little and find a good place for us.
Merrill started his job this last Monday, and so far, so good. He mainly will be working Monday through Thursday unless there is an emergency. He seems to like it, and the guys he works with. Hopefully it will stay that way. ;)
And on to some even more exciting news. I had my ultrasound yesterday. The baby is looking great! Everything went well. The baby was being shy for pretty much the whole ultrasound. It had its back to us and its legs crossed. But somehow at the end it uncrossed its legs and we were able to get a little glimpse that it is a BOY!!! Darci will have a little brother, she seemed to be pretty excited, Although I'm sure she doesn't quite understand what it all means, but she will, and she will love him. Now we just have to think of a name. Which will be harder than when we named Darci. Girls names were easier to come up with. I'm sure will figure out something good! :)

More News

We moved to Seattle January 2010 after Merrill graduated from BYU. With his job, there was supposed to be lots of opportunity to move up. But these opportunities seem to be vanishing and getting pushed out further and further down the road. Not to mention the lack of hours he has been getting, and the pay raise freeze (who knows how long that'll last.
So, after me getting a job, and a lot of discussions, research, and job hunting... Merrill has found a new job. This job has better opportunity (that is more realistic), more hours, and better pay. And its close to family, in fact the shop is around the corner from my Dad's shop. That's right, we are moving to Oregon. He starts the new job at the beginning of May, so we are moving at the end of April.
We are said to leave our friends here in WA, we have some awesome friends. Its gonna be hard to find more friends that are as Great.
I have had a great part time job, it's the position I have wanted forever. Its super easy, great doctor, and they've paid me well. I've never had all of "it" till now, if only I had this job before I had Darci. Even though this is such a great job, I was actually excited and relieved when I was able to tell them that I was leaving. I've just wanted to be able to be a stay at home mom. I took advantage of it before I went back to work, I didn't realize how much I REALLY loved it and needed to be home. I can't wait till we get settled in a new place and this baby comes. We'll stay at my mom and Dad's till we can find a place and get a bit more caught up on bills and such.
One step at a time, we have a lot going on this year, just trying to focus on finishing our jobs and then get our stuff packed and organized to move and store. We're not looking forward to the moving, but very much looking forward to the move.
And what's a blog post without some pics of Darci..

She got into her clothes and put a Dress around her neck and a skirt on her head.

January update

"riding" daddy's motorcycle

She loves to play the piano

"Talking on the (cord) phone"

she lifted up her shirt and sat down on the potty. After I took this picture she leaned over to the side and grabbed her book.

Darci and her best friend Addie eating breakfast

Darci and her little "boyfriend", Landon.

Not really sure what she is doing here

watching Daddy fix his truck. She was concerned that he was leaving.

We curled her hair the other day, it was so cute. It didn't last after her nap.

Darci and Addie bouncing on the stairs. Apparently they do this everyday. They think its just the funniest thing.

She loves walking around with the blanket on her head, she thinks its so funny when she runs into things.

Christmas Time!

So, I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from Christmas. We went down to Oregon to have Christmas with my family. Capri's (my sister in law) Mom, sister and brothers were also there. It was a lot of fun. Lots of Christmas presents to open and a very BIG turkey to eat...

Darci was not a fan of Santa, and Wyatt wasn't too sure at first, but he had to make sure that he told Santa that he wanted a computer for Christmas.

Wyatt and Darci eating at her high chair, we lowered it so that Wyatt could share the tray with her.

My mom had bought these magnets for the little kids to play with. But they were so much fun, I went out and got some more and all of us "big kids" took them over.

My colorful magnet Christmas tree!

we made bowling pins out of the magnets, at first we made a ball out of magnets but that didn't work very well, so we grab this ball and told Wyatt to roll it and knock over the magnets.

Our 35lb Turkey. Raised by Capri's brothers, and Smoked for 24 hours by my mom. Look, its bigger than Wyatt! ;)

Capri was rocking Easton to sleep and Wyatt climb up on the chair to rock the doll to sleep.

Darci opening presents. She would not smile. She didn't seem to understand what was going on.

She was more interested in playing with the stuff that Wyatt and Easton got.

Opening her stocking.

She got a potty! She knew just what to do. Now we just have to get her to do it without her diaper on.

She got a bike from Grandma and Grandpa. She actually smiled when she got this present. ;)

She got a table from Santa. We were putting in together and she was getting the table legs out of the box.

Her table also has a thing to build legos on. She loves it.
